New Pastry

With the introduction of La Boulange pastries, Starbucks will be transforming their pastry cases across Canada on March 3, 2015. The transformation is the product of a partnership between Starbucks and La Boulange, an iconic San Francisco pastry shop founded by renowned French chef, baker and cookbook author Pascal Rigo.

Born in Bordeaux, France, Pascal was introduced to the craft of French baking at a young age. It clearly had a strong influence on his life as he worked in Paris and Bordeaux for reputable bakers before becoming a certified baker himself. In 1995, he moved to California and the rest is history. La Boulange now has over 20 cafes across Bay Area. They pride themselves on making all their traditional pastries and baked goods from scratch, using simple and fresh ingredients.

With the same philosophy, Pascal has worked with Starbucks to offer authentic, French-inspired pastries with high quality ingredients. Think real butter and single origin chocolate!
La Boulange products were successfully launched in stores across the US in 2013. Canada’s turn to get a taste of these delicious pastries. In  March, the pastries will begin to roll out in British Columbia and Ontario, which make up over 70% of Canada Starbucks locations. The roll out will continue into Quebec and Atlantic locations at the end of March with the remaining provinces in June.

The last 10 Feet..

Have you ever wondered that when you hold a bag of coffee, think about its journey?

The coffee spent 9 months growing in the sunshine on a farm that supports several people.

Many hands at a mill then processed it

A farmer spent more then 56 hours raking it so that it would dry properly

It was then roasted by bunch of experience team members

That batch of coffee is tasted and tested several time

Travelled around 4700 miles to get to a store

After that you buy it and drink it.

Imagine amount of people you helped and one cup or one bag of coffee which you purchased have changed many people’s living .

Tea Lemonade secret menu

Lets talk about some secret menu drinks for brewed tea lemonades… usually we all take passion, green or black tea lemonades but with launch of new teas. There have been new options.

1.     Peach black tea lemonade:

Ask your barista to make black tea lemonade but substitute classic syrup with peach syrup.

2.     Youthberry refresher:

Well now since we have youthberry tea, well your barista can make new lemonade aka ask them to keep youthberry tea bag in hot water for 4 minutes and then mix it with classic syrup and lemonade and you shall get all new youthberry refresher

3.     Jade berry tea lemonade:

Jade citrus mint tea and youthberry tea mixture.  Same step as I said before. Only difference would be one tea bag of both tea for 4 mins and you get a berries and mint tasting drink.

4.     Peach lime refresher:

This one is my personal favorite. Get a Cool lime refresher and request your barista to custom it with no lime and peach syrup.
 Tall – 1 syrup
Grande- 2 syrup
